Argus-Search Inc. History

Argus-Search Inc. was established October 2003, we will be celebrating a milestone, our tenth year in business in 2013.  The company was created after the sale of its parent company Argus Services Inc., a near 20 year old security and loss prevention conglomerate owned and operated by James Schoenleber.  Argus Services employed over 2000 people in 8 western states.   Jeannene Kurtz was the Director of Sales & Marketing, recognizing the demand of employers' security needs in all industries she expanded Argus Services to include background screening services.  When Argus services sold, James Schoenleber and her created Argus-Search to continue the service and expand to new clients. Over the years, we have expanded to service nearly 800 employers across the nation. 

Argus-Search offers Criminal Databases, SSN Address Records, County Criminal, Credit Reports, Driving Records, Education, Employment, Reference and Professional Verifications.

Over the years Argus-Search has seen a tremendous breach of social security numbers. So, in January of 2008 we launched  www.checkmyssn.com .  The public can now order their own SSN information.  We have reformatted the report to not reveal anyone's identity but give enough information so that the owner of the SSN can determine if their SSN is being used fraudulently.

Argus-Search also has created a job site for our clients, www.chexter.com  you may post your jobs and the job seekers screen themselves.
