Argus-Search Inc. History

In September 2003, after more than 18 years in operation, Argus Services, an award-winning security firm that operated in eight Western States, with over 2000 employees, was sold. Argus Services was owned and operated by Mr. James Schoenleber. James has his BS and MS from Southern Oregon University, majoring in Criminal Justice. Jim was a decorated police officer and detective for a major city in the Pacific Northwest. From Jim's long experience, he knows the value of protecting American citizens as well as American Businesses.

Jeannene (Kurtz) Schoenleber was the Director of Sales & Marketing for Argus Services. Part of Argus Services' product line included online background checks. Recognizing the demand of employers' security needs in all industries, Jim and Jeannene decided to continue the service of online background screening through Argus-Search, Inc. In the last four years, we have expanded to service more than 500 employers across the nation.

Over the years we have seen a tremendous breach of social security numbers. So, in January of 2008 we launched checkmyssn.com  The public can now order their own SSN information.  We have reformatted the report to not reveal anyone's identity but give enough information so that the owner of the SSN can determine if their SSN is being used fraudulently.

There are many other products we now offer, including our  Business-to-Business Connections  Small or large businesses may now advertise on our home page in their operating state or across the nation.   The price is the same, .33 a day!  With todays struggling economy, advertising is key to growing a company!  Get started today!
